Who doesn’t want to be Madonna? What’s your version? Mine is “Like a Virgin” Madonna. Forever ingrained in my brain….. This was my first album, tape, actually. A 5th birthday gift, along with a “boom box” and Michael Jackson’s Thriller. Not bad, right? 1983 was a good year. Still have the cassette player (somewhere at my parents house) and still listen to these albums. They have stood the test of time!
Bracelets: Lulu Frost rhinestone sunburst, Eddie Borgo yellow gold pyramid, and Xenia Mara bronze and rock crystal cuff. All amazing alone or layered.
Dressed up in all my loves (Iosselliani, Eddie Borgo, Xenia Mara, Lulu Frost, and Jennifer Behr) and letting my inner Material Girl run wild!
Iosselliani asymmetrical rhinestone necklace – love this piece! It is delicate but packs a punch. The whimsy of the random/asymmetrical crystals are perfect to take it away from stuffy.
Jennifer Behr rhinestone barrette used as a broach. Bracelets (right hand): faux pearls (costume store), Iosselliani rhinestone and gold plated bracelet, Eddie Borgo yellow gold pyramid bracelet.
Iosselliani cluster rhinestone ring. Obsessed! These vintage looking rings are fused together – looks like you raided your grandmother’s jewelry box and wore them all.
Go ahead, find your Madonna and express yourself!

Hope to see you all there!
Piles and piles of necklaces today! We have some nice weather and I am enjoying the crisp fall air and blue skies (for now). Fall is going to be hitting the shop in full force next week with coats by Christine Chaney. Can’t wait!
Xenia Mara copper circles, vintage pearls, and steel and pearl necklace by Surplus. I have on my wedding necklace (diamond and sapphire) along with a charm for my son and a gold shield ready to be monogrammed. Italian made pocket square as a pop of color on my suspender.
On my right hand I have a vintage wood bangle (delicate gold band on my ring finger). My left hand is featuring a Lulu Frost 100 year shoe buckle. We have three versions in stock – all are spectacular. Perfect for a winter wedding or holiday party.
These IOSSELLIANI stacking rings are a modern classic. They are so comfortable, such a rich statement for every occasion. Stacked all on one finger they pack a beautiful punch but they are also lovely sprinkled throughout your other rings. Lots of options, love it!
Despite the stormy weather we had a wonderful trunk show of Xenia Mara Designs this past Saturday! Thank you to all who braved the wind, rain, and power outages to come to our event! Xenia has a beautiful collection this Fall and we still have many of her stunning pieces here at Hitchcock. Stop by the store to glimpse her gorgeous new goodies (including fabulous new styles from her Precious Collection – think raw diamonds and white rubies!).
Xenia Mara necklaces hanging.
Our beautiful friend Susie.
We are thrilled to give you a sneak peak of the Xenia Mara Fall 2013 collection debuting next Saturday the 28th at our annual Xenia Mara trunk show! Check out some of her amazing new pieces:
One of our favorite artists always, Xenia continues to create stunning, one-of-a-kind jewelry. This collection is spot on for Fall – Gold is coming back in a BIG way and we are loving it!
Xenia mixes beautiful vintage chains with semi-precious stones (rock crystal pictured above).
Check back for more lovely photos of Xenia’s new collection in the coming week.
When I saw a random pink and green floral couch on the sidewalk while walking to work, I knew it was time for a photo shoot. Kate’s pink hair and Kelly Christy’s pink fedora are genius. You have to capitalize on life’s little opportunities for something different – in this case we did!
Top to bottom: plaid cotton scarf by Hitchcock Madrona, green opal Xenia Mara necklace, pink and maroon statement necklace by Lulu Frost, double strand emerald necklace by Hitchcock Madrona (barely visible). We just produced another batch of our ever popular cotton men’s shirting fabric scarves. This collection is so nautical/French – I am in love!
Another cool photo opportunity – Dwayne’s car! Thanks Dwayne!
How amazing is this piece by Harriet McNamara for her line Surplus? She calls it “The World” but I think “The Universe” is more appropriate. A crown, rhinestone person, Sputnik, cherubs, stars….it’s all in there! Harriet surprises and delights us every time.
I have paired “The World” with my treasured Lanvin necklace traded at driftwood consignment (score!) and my Lulu Frost Impromptu necklace. Obsessed! Too much?? NAH!
Grunya Black frames by MOSCOT.
My Eddie Borgo cone bracelet is working overtime!
Fall is coming (kind of) and we are starting to wear a few more layers. Although, the store is as warm as ever (darn that afternoon sun!). I can’t wait until I can get my 57 pairs of boots out!!!
Fall collections are arriving at Hitchcock Madrona! We have beautiful new jewelry from our forever favorites Eddie Borgo and Lulu Frost. With the simmering down of summer we are thrilled to introduce some wonderful new artists including St. Kilda, Wouters & Hendrix and F A R I S. We can’t wait to show you the goods!
